Running out of paper
Printed timesheets run out on site. Managers and payroll have to chase. Work gets processed late — or not at all.
Every form off site, approved and filed — without the chase.
If it doesn't work on-site, it doesn't work.

Printed timesheets run out on site. Managers and payroll have to chase. Work gets processed late — or not at all.
A photo of a handwritten form, sent via WhatsApp or email. Blurry. Cropped. Unreadable. Someone in the office has to decipher it.
Manager doesn't approve. Operative chases. Payroll gets copied in. An inbox full of replies-all that have nothing to do with payroll.
Every form follows the same journey.
Opens the app, fills in the form, hits Submit
Routed automatically to the right manager based on project
Reviews and approves or rejects
Document generated from the approved submission
Formatted document sent by email to the right inbox
If a manager rejects — the reason travels back to the operative with the specific section. Corrected and resubmitted. Each form is delivered to the inbox it belongs to.
The same flow runs on any form you build.
“KernForms is a precision-built, blank slate utility. Lean by choice, not by compromise — it gives you exactly the tools you need to submit, approve, and relay data. Whether that's a timesheet today or a materials request tomorrow.”
No demo to book, no IT to involve. The same platform your team carries in a pocket and your managers approve from a desk — here is what it actually looks like.
The whole form lives in their pocket — no paper to run out, no photo to decipher.
Routed to the right manager automatically. A rejection carries the reason and the exact section.
Timesheet today, site diary or materials request tomorrow — the platform builds them all.
Two founders, one platform — built from the inside, for the people on site.

KernForms was built to do one job, and to do it better than anything else: get information out of the field and into the office — fast, precise, no fuss.
The big CRM and HR platforms are brilliant once you're in head office: AI, HR, payroll, all neatly integrated. But they forgot the first step — how does that information get there from the field in the first place? Timesheets, material requisitions, safety checklists, expenses — every one buried behind fancy menus and a dozen taps, slow to load, leaning on a café's WiFi or the last bar of signal. By the time an operative has fought their way to the start of the form, most have given up and gone back to pen and paper.
And there's a whole group those platforms forgot completely: the small contractor with a crew on the ground. The best features in the world are no use once the price has scaled past what the business can justify — you end up paying for a full HR or CRM system and using half of it. You don't need all that. You need one thing done, and done well: a job checklist that reaches whoever sorts the paperwork, every time, without the faff.
That's KernForms. That's the whole idea — I built it for the people the big platforms left out in the field.
